James Howard

James is Development Director at Studio HIVE, an innovative Bristol based property developer, focussed on the South-West.

James graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester and is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Project Manager.

Past experience includes roles as Associate Director at regeneration specialist Urban Splash as well as consultancy project management roles at highly respected surveying firms Gleeds, JLL and Chesterton and running a small consultancy business.

James has been involved in a number of developments including mixed use, heritage led projects including more recently Lakeshore, Bristol and Royal William Yard, Plymouth from inception to completion and post occupation. More recently, James has been involved with the redevelopment of Deepcut Barracks and Filton Airfield and the delivery of the masterplans. Currently James is working on regeneration projects in the centre of Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare and Torbay including a number of public sector/private sector partnerships.

James has also served on the Torbay Design Review Panel for over 10 years and is a member of the Bristol Urban Design Forum and the South West Design Review Panel.
