Message from our Chief Executive

The ongoing impact and disruption of Covid-19 is on a scale that many of us had probably thought unlikely and it is clear that around the world national Governments are making big decisions in a fast-moving environment. Following the UK Prime Minister’s statements this week, I am writing to let you know how we are operating our business at this time. As you would expect, TDA is adapting in response to the current situation, working very closely with the local authorities and schools that we serve, our clients and the Government.

We are proud that TDA provides services to a diverse range of customers and we will continue to maintain a full ‘business as usual’ service for as long as possible. Unless instructed otherwise we will continue to open all of our work places and we are fortunate to have significant home working capability. However, we will be avoiding non-essential travel.

We will also do our very best to service all of our clients’ needs where it is safe and effective to do so, while protecting and minimising the risk to our staff and customers. The health and welfare of all our stakeholders and the communities in which we operate remains our top priority. TDA provides a number of critical public services and these are currently unaffected.

TDA is also committed to supporting all businesses impacted by Covid-19 and our latest TDA Business Newsletter provides advice for employers and support for businesses.

As you would expect we are stepping up our communications with Government also to ensure that the voice of the business community in the South West of England is heard and we have, for example, contributed towards recent government initiatives.
